Come join the IB Middle Years Programme Regional Manager and the Acting Head of the Middle Years Programme in a presentation and conversation. This session will review changes to the Middle Years Programme that have occurred over the past year, those that are coming in the future, and offer an opportunity to ask burning questions about the programme.
Stanley Burgoyne, MYP regional manager, International Baccalaureate
Stan Burgoyne is the Middle Years Programme Regional Manager for International Baccalaureate North America. A graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, Stan continued his post graduate work at San Francisco State University and began his teaching career in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1996 he moved to North Carolina where he found a renewed enthusiasm for teaching at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, a magnet school implementing the IB as a school redesign initiative. First trained as a Diploma and MYP teacher of Language A and drama, Stan moved to the position of MYP coordinator at his school. From there he assumed the role of Senior Administrator of IB Programmes for Wake County Public Schools.
Shani Sniedze-Gregory, Acting Head of the Middle Years Programme, International Baccalaureate
Shani Sniedze-Gregory, Acting Head of the Middle Years Programme for the International Baccalaureate, has been working with the IB curriculum and assessment centre in Cardiff since 2003. In addition to her current role, she also manages the curriculum and assessment of three subject groups in the MYP: language A, language B and physical education. Prior to joining the Cardiff office, she was an IB Diploma Programme and MYP language B teacher in an IB World School in South Australia, was senior moderator for MYP language B, and was an MYP language B workshop leader.
