International Mindedness and Collaborative Planning: Are We There Yet?

This year I continue to explore the IB standards. Only this time we will look in depth at two that often raise more questions: A2 (international-mindedness) and C2 (collaborative planning).

We will look at these through the lens of an unofficial rubric for the standards I created shortly after the standards were released.

The three purposes of the rubric are to:
(1) Increase understanding โ€“ by helping schools and school communities gain a better understanding of the IB programme standards and practices.
(2) Examine practice โ€“ by helping schools see how their practice aligns with the IB programme standards and where their practice falls on a continuum.
(3) Set direction โ€“ by helping schools establish new targets for their practice, which represent where they want to go to next on a continuum.

I will use some time during the session to provide an introduction to the rubric and then use the rest of the time to allow you to have structured conversations about the A2 and C2 standards.

If you leave early or want to learn more about the rubric after the conference feel free to contact me.

Cheers,

David Ogden
