Implementing the Diploma Programme

A new Diploma publication is being written that provides guidance to schools on the effective implementation of the curriculum as a whole in schools. An outline of the key points, principles and practices will be presented with implications considered. The presentation will be followed by discussion, questions and answers.


Tristian Stobie, Head of Diploma Programme Development, International Baccalaureate

Tristian Stobie worked for 20 years as a teacher and then school principal in IB schools in Lesotho, Austria, The Netherlands, Monaco, and the United Kingdom before joining the IB in 2006. He has had an academic interest in the IB for many years and completed a master's and subsequent doctorate degree at the University of Bath in England focusing on education in an international context and the IB continuum. Mr Stobie is currently responsible for the development of the Diploma Programme curriculum.
