Session: Block 4: Saturday 11:15 to 12:30, Room: Bayview Room B

Imagine a conference where the student is in charge or one in which students are taking responsibility for their own learning, and parents are happy to come to school! Students gain ownership of their learning when they self-evaluate while fostering communication and critical thinking skills. Parents claim they receive more information from a student-led conference than from traditional conferences. Teachers are thrilled when learning becomes the responsibility of the student and the parents. This experience will provide the essentials for a first attempt as well as enhancing any program that may already exist.
