Come join the IB Diploma Programme Regional Manager and the Head of Diploma Programme Development in a presentation and conversation. This session will review changes to the Diploma Programme that have occurred over the past year, those that are coming in the future, and offer an opportunity to ask burning questions about the programme.
Gloria McDowell, Diploma Programme regional manager, International Baccalaureate
Gloria McDowell holds a master’s degree in Management of Non Governmental Organizations and a degree in Education, both from Argentine universities, and a bachelor of arts in Economics from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Before joining the North American regional office as the Diploma Programme Regional Manager, she was the Head of Secondary in a bilingual school in Buenos Aires. Gloria has also acted in the roles of deputy chief examiner for IB Business and Management, examiner and workshop leader.
Tristian Stobie, Head of Diploma Programme development, International Baccalaureate
Tristian worked for 20 years as a teacher and then a school principal in IB schools in Lesotho, Austria, The Netherlands, Monaco and the United Kingdom before joining the IB in 2006. He has had an academic interest in the IB for many years and recently completed a doctorate degree at the University of Bath in England, evaluating the MYP/Diploma Programme continuum. Tristian is responsible for leading the development of all aspects of the Diploma Programme curriculum and is based at the Curriculum and Assessment centre in Cardiff.
