Talking Professional Development at IB North America

This session will provide an overview of IB North America professional development activities, then focus on new developments and initiatives in the region. New training opportunities for site visitors, consultants and workshop leaders will also be presented. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss ideas for future professional development initiatives.

Anthony Tait, Head of School Services and Professional Development, International Baccalaureate
AnthoAnthony Tait is the Head of School Services and Professional Development for IB North America. He has had a long association with the IB in the Asia Pacific region, where he performed a variety of roles including IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, IB workshop leader and CAS coordinator. He has taught for 25 years and has extensive experience in IB assessment procedures, including senior examiner in IB geography and IB examination setter. Anthony also lectured part-time at Flinders University (Adelaide) in the School of Education, Law and Theology. He was a course writer in teacher education, and a lecturer of Gifted Education methodologies in the master’s of Gifted Education program.
