Weaving Web 2.0 Into Classroom Practice: What's the Current State of Play?

This session will consider current developments in Web 2.0 technologies, e.g. blogs, wikis and social bookmarking, and how they have been implemented by practitioners to improve teaching and learning in the classroom. The session is aimed at teachers and school leadership new to the Web 2.0 paradigm, but who want to know more about how education technology and social networking are impacting upon classroom practice.

Lee Davis is currently Head of Online Professional Learning at the IB's curriculum and assessment centre at Cardiff, where he heads the team responsible for the online curriculum centre (OCC), the workshop resource centre and the organization's developments in online workshops. Previously, he was director of studies at St. George's College, Argentina, and has taught at various schools in the UK and Sri Lanka. Lee is at present undertaking postgraduate studies in transnational collaborative relationships and organizational learning between IB World Schools.
