Where Exactly Do My Fees Go?

Session: Block 6: Saturday 3:45 to 5:00, Room: Golden Gate Room

This session offers a glimpse into what school fees (annual, examinations, workshop etc.) pay for now and what they will pay for in the future. This will include an analysis of IB’s cost base and cross-subsidization of activities. It will also give a view on the development activity that the IB is undertaking (including 2020 restructure work) and how it will be funded.

Kids 4 Kids Publishing: Connecting Kids Across Continents

What does a child possess that can be freely given to other children across the world? Ideas, thoughts, and stories. Children's (and adult's) writing has the potential to provide reading materials for those who do not have books, as well as to spark an examination of differing cultures from across the world.

Addressing the Learner Profile to Enhance Character Education

This session will demonstrate ways in which the IB Learner Profile enhances character education in the Middle Years Programme. The presenters, both experienced educators from a National School of Character, will discuss the connection between the attributes of the Learner Profile with the development of students as active global citizens within a diverse school cultural environment.
