Presenter Information

The 2009 IB Conference of the Americas will attract over 1000 members of the worldwide IB community to Québec. There will be nearly 100 breakout sessions offered during the four days we will be together. Sessions may include presentations of conceptual models, professional applications, scholarly analyses, skill-building programs, and case studies.

Deadlines:

28 February 2009 - Deadline for Submission of Completed Presentation Proposals
Late March 2009 – Notification of Acceptance

Proposal Guidelines

Individuals may not submit or appear on more than two proposals, either as a primary or secondary presenter. In addition, the same school or institutional affiliation may not appear on more than two proposals. Panel sessions are limited to one primary presenter and three secondary presenters (i.e., panelists). It is the primary presenter’s responsibility to communicate all official conference correspondence in a timely manner to all secondary presenters. Please be sure to have a commitment from all secondary presenters before listing them on a panel session proposal. Since specific session times have not been determined, you must be available to present anytime between Friday, 9 July and Sunday, 12 July 2009 if you submit a proposal. All sessions are 75 minutes in length.

Payment and Reimbursement of Presenters

The IB Conference of the Americas provides a voluntary professional development opportunity to receive international recognition while sharing best practices with other IB educators. All session presenters are required to pay the conference registration fee. With the exception of plenary and distinguished lecture speakers, IB will not reimburse any expenses.
