This session offers a glimpse into what school fees (annual, examinations, workshop etc.) pay for now and what they will pay for in the future. This will include an analysis of IB’s cost base and cross-subsidization of activities. It will also give a view on the development activity that the IB is undertaking (including 2020 restructure work) and how it will be funded. Additionally included will be an overview of the new process in which school fees will be established.


Daniel Benham, Chief Financial Officer, International Baccalaureate

"Daniel Benham joined the IB in July 2006, and assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer in September. He has 15 years of experience following qualification as a chartered accountant in 1991. He held a number of senior positions within consumer divisions of US controlled companies including: Gillette, Pfizer, and Energizer. Daniel lived in the US for four years and now currently resides in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to his commercial experiences, he worked for four years as a qualified schoolteacher in the United Kingdom.
