Multiple Intelligences in the Mathematics Classroom
Audience: Middle Years Programme Most educators have heard of the multiple intelligences and how important they are to effective education. The challenge comes when one tries to incorporate them into the classroom. Session participants will learn how to integrate the multiple intelligences, the Areas of Interaction, and the grading criterion for mathematics into one package that creates a brain-friendly environment to make learning easier and much more enjoyable. Thomas Bronson, Mathematics Teacher, Independent Day SchoolTom Bronson has been teaching mathematics for 14 years in the Tampa Bay area. He has presented at the state, regional, and national levels on the topics of mathematics, technology,and multiple intelligences. He currently teaches Algebra I Honors and Algebra II Honors at a private middle school in Tampa.
