Instilling Internationalism and Social Awareness in the IB Student

Audience: Diploma Programme
Session: Block 3: Friday 3:45 to 5:00, Room: Pacific L

The documentary NOBELITY brings viewers into an intimate dialogue with nine Nobel Laureates. Each Laureate discusses a global concern forcing the viewer to consider and reconsider how the decisions each of us make affects our society, other societies, and future generations. Participants will have an opportunity to meet the film's producer and learn how NOBELITY may be used to motivate IB students to an aim of creating "internationally minded people who recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet." This film can be a catalyst to ethical discussions in Theory of Knowledge classes as well as an inspirational call to action for a CAS program.
