Throughout the world, schools are taking measures to raise awareness and create eco-friendly environments. This seminar will present a conceptual model of a school on its way to "going green." By using the Areas of Interaction as a framework, schools can create cross-curricular units and programs to raise awareness. These various implementations serve to help inquiring students transform their power to think into actions. In this way, students can sense their impact on both their local and global communities. These small steps are helping students take a leadership role in the conversion of the school into an environmentally conscious and proactive institution.
