PYP = AYP: Gladys Camp

Gladys Camp has been Principal of Thomson Elementary School since 2001. She implemented the district's first elementary Chinese language program and introduced the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. In all three schools in which she has served as principal, she has initiated reading and writing incentive programs. At one school, she exhibited her commitment to students by following through on a promise to spend the day on the roof after every student wrote a book. She received a B.S. from Morgan State University, an M.A. from George Washington University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park.
