Michael Dean is the Research Manager for International Baccalaureate North America. He has been a high school mathematics teacher in the United States and Cameroon and has been involved in educational research for the past ten years. His areas of research have focused on models of mathematical cognition, diagnostic testing and applied statistics. He currently serves as an adjunct associate professor of education, psychology and applied statistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. He received a M.S. in Applied Statistics as well as a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation from Teachers College, Columbia University.
