Albertson College of Idaho and the IB Diploma Programme

Room: Arkansas

presented by Brian A. Bava, Associate Director of Admissions/Director of International Student Recruitment, Albertson College of Idaho

This will be a discussion of how Albertson College of Idaho has embraced the International Baccalaureate Programme and the advantages we are currently providing International Baccalaureate participants. It will also touch on the foundational similarities between the International Baccalaureate curriculum and a liberal arts core curriculum in a small college setting, highlighting our missions and the curricula, while highlighting the collaborative efforts of RiverStone International School (Boise, Idaho) and Albertson College of Idaho to develop a "lab school" learning community. The hope is to demonstrate how small liberal arts colleges, such as Albertson College, are especially well-prepared to understand and serve IB diploma holders.
